Texas and Washington meet in the Allstate Sugar Bowl tonight to cap off the last game of the night, also representing the second College Football Playoff Semifinals game. Washington enters this game with a perfect 13-0 record after beating Oregon twice this season, the most recent being in the Pac-12 Championship. Texas lost just one game this year, which was the Red River Rivalry against Oklahoma back in October. Texas got huge wins against Bama, Kansas, Kansas State, and Oklahoma State to earn their spot in the playoffs. Can Ewers get revenge for last year?

Texas vs. Washington Prediction
Funnily enough, this is a rematch of the Alamo Bowl last season. Quinn Ewers and Michael Penix Jr. met last season to cap off the year, with the Huskies winning 27-20. That game certainly shouldn't have been as low-scoring as it was, though. Quinn Ewers threw for 369 yards, but Texas finished with just 20 points. With that, Ewer's passing prop is set at 287.5 yards tonight.
It's interesting to see Ewer's line lower than Penix's line. It makes sense, because Penix averaged 324 yards per game through the air this year and Ewers averaged 287, which is right around this line, but Ewers constantly has shown an ability to consistently torch weak secondary's. Washington is a very weak secondary. They are allowing 263 passing yards per game, which is 121st in FBS. Part of this is because Washington gets into a lot of shootout-style games because of the explosive offense, but because of that, Ewers should be able to keep up and torch the Washington secondary like many other teams this season.
Ewers has consistently had big games in the big games Texas has been in. Texas played four ranked teams this season, and Ewers threw for over 300 yards in all four. His lowest yards against a ranked team was 325 against Kansas.
The total in this game is 62 points. I don't think anyone has any inclination we see much defense in this game. The Texas defense is good, but they can't hold Washington down for 60 minutes. Penix Jr. will move the ball in this game, and Washington does not run the ball at all, which will play into shorter possessions. Ewers should have a big second half when the Washington defense is getting tired in the second half. Ewers hitting 300 receiving yards in this style of game against a bad secondary feels too easy.
