Week 8 DFS Picks and Guide: Top DraftKings Targets and Value Plays
When building a winning DraftKings DFS lineup, it is essential for you to find underpriced players to pair with some top options.
Each week, I will help you find those underpriced players at each position (QB, RB, WR, TE, DST) for you to insert into your DFS lineups. This will allow you to fill your remaining lineup with high-priced players.
Use the players I list below to achieve your winning lineup this week!
Week 8 DraftKings Value Plays
Quarterback
Teddy Bridgewater, Denver Broncos ($5,400) vs Washington Football Team
I can’t stop talking about how much I love Teddy Bridgewater this week. Yes, he’s coming off a game where he didn’t look amazing, but he has thrown multiple touchdowns in 3 consecutive games and in 5 of 7 games this year. Touchdowns are good for fantasy football and DFS lineups.
The Washington Football Team has given up the most fantasy points to quarterbacks. This includes 17 touchdown passes in the last 5 games!
Jerry Jeudy is expected to return, which will give Bridgewater his full assortment of elite options to throw to. Bridgewater’s price tag is criminally low for this matchup.
Alternate Week 8 QB Value:
· Jared Goff, Detroit Lions ($5,200) vs Philadelphia Eagles
Running Back
Damien Harris, New England Patriots ($6,100) @ Los Angeles Chargers
Considering Damien Harris’ production in his last 3 games and his matchup, this is a steal price at the position.
Harris has 14 or more carries, 58 or more rushing yards, and a touchdown in each of his last 3 games. This includes back-to-back 100+ rushing yard games and 2 rushing touchdowns against the Jets last week.
The Los Angeles Chargers have given up the 3rd most fantasy points to running backs this year. They have allowed a rushing touchdown to the position 8 times including 3 times in each of their last 2 games.
Damien Harris has 14 or more carries in each of his last 3 games. There’s no way he doesn’t make it 4 consecutive weeks against this Chargers defensive line.
Alternate Week 8 RB Value:
· Chuba Hubbard, Carolina Panthers ($6,000) @ Atlanta Falcons
Wide Receiver
Michael Pittman Jr., Indianapolis Colts ($5,300) vs Tennessee Titans
Michael Pittman has been a constant producer this year. He leads the Colts in targets, receptions, and receiving yards. He has a catch of 40+ yards in 3 games this season. Pittman has 89 or more yards and a touchdown in 2 of his last 3 games.
The Tennessee Titans have given up the most fantasy points to wide receivers this year. They’ve given up 10 touchdowns to wideouts. The last time Pittman faced the Titans (Week 3) he had 6 catches on 12 targets for 68 yards.
His chemistry with Carson Wentz has grown stronger since Week 3. There’s no doubt Pittman could see double-digit targets again in this game, only this time, he’ll catch more and do more damage against one of the worst secondaries in the league.
Alternate Week 8 WR Value:
· Jarvis Landry, Cleveland Browns ($5,000) vs Pittsburgh Steelers
Tight End
C.J. Uzomah, Cincinnati Bengals ($3,700) @ New York Jets
It’s time we all stop ignoring the upside that C.J. Uzomah presents at the tight end position. Yes, his floor is brutal, but that goes for most tight ends. You must take a risk if you want to win in DFS lineups. To me, a price tag of just $3,700 is to little a risk not to take for Uzomah.
C.J. Uzomah has 5 touchdowns in his last 5 games, including 3 in his last 2. He’s coming off a game where he caught all 3 of his targets for 91 yards and 2 touchdowns. No, this production is not sustainable, but it should encourage Joe Burrow to look his way even more this week.
The New York Jets have given up the 8th most fantasy points to tight ends. They have given 3 touchdowns to the position in their last 2 games.
Alternate Week 8 TE Value:
· Jared Cook, Los Angeles Chargers ($3,400) vs New England Patriots
Defense/Special Teams
Cincinnati Bengals ($3,600) @ New York Jets
This week, it’s ok to pay up a little for the Bengal defense. They are still $1,500 less than top option on DraftKings.
The Bengals are coming off their best game of the season. They sacked Lamar Jackson 5 times! That was their 5th time this season with multiple sacks in 1 game. They have a total of 19 sacks and 5 interceptions through 7 games.
The New York Jets, who will be without Zach Wilson, have given up the most fantasy points to defenses this season. To me, having them in every one of your lineups is a no-brainer.
Alternate Week 8 DST Value:
· Buffalo Bills ($3,300) vs Miami Dolphins
