The Houston Texans and the Kansas City Chiefs will meet from Arrowhead Stadium on Saturday afternoon with a trip to the AFC Championship Game on the line.
Houston comes into the matchup off a blowout win over the Los Angeles Chargers in the wildcard round. DeMeco Ryans' squad entered the postseason after winning their second straight AFC South title. The Texans know they will have their toughest test of the year today against the back-to-back champions.
Houston won the opening-round wildcard game last year over the Cleveland Browns, but their season ended in the divisional round at the hands of the Baltimore Ravens. The Texans have never reached the Conference Championship game. Houston comes into the contest as a heavy 8.5-point underdog.

Former Ohio State standout C.J. Stroud has thrown for 3,727 yards, 20 touchdowns, and 12 interceptions in his second season. Joe Mixon has dashed for 1,016 yards and 11 touchdowns. Mixon has been a key part of the Texans' offensive success in his first year with the team. Nico Collins led the team with 1,006 receiving yards and seven touchdowns. Houston ranked 16th in points allowed per game (22.2).
Kansas City enters the postseason in hopes of winning their third-straight Super Bowl. There has been no team in the history of the NFL to win the Super Bowl three straight times. KC posted a record of 15-2 during the regular season. Former MVP Patrick Mahomes has thrown for 3,928 yards, 26 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions. Mahomes is going for his record third-straight Super Bowl MVP if the Chiefs can advance. Veteran Kareem Hunt has scampered for 728 yards and seven touchdowns. Travis Kelce has racked up 823 yards and three touchdowns. KC ranks 15th in points allowed per game (22.6).
