Well, we are hitting the ice tonight with a great eight game slate and to kick things off, I want to head to the Lou. The Ottawa Senators (11-12) are in Missouri tonight for a clash with the (13-14-1) St. Louis Blues at the Enterprise Center. This is a big one for the Blues who suddenly and unexpectedly released head coach Craig Berube after Tuesdays loss to Detroit.

Ottawa Senators vs. St. Louis Blues Prediction
The Chief was a locker room favorite and helped the notes bring home their first Stanley Cup just a couple seasons ago; his absence will be felt heavily in my opinion but for now, I expect some jump out of the Blues.
If this was later in the season, their is chance the boys would throw in the towel after losing their commandant but that is not the case; the Blues are just barely out of playoff position and have plenty of season left to work with. I think tonight they are all sorts of fired up and come out swinging.
Ottawa has been very back and forth this season but I think they show up tonight. Senators Captain Brady Tkachuk was all sorts of fired up after the 4-1 loss to Carolina on Tuesday and I think they come out better today.
Despite being held to one goal last time out, they had 14 in the previous three games before that and scored seven last time they played St. Louis. The over is 7-5 at home for the Blues this season. Both teams are among league leaders for the first period over and love to score early.
