Ottawa Senators vs. Dallas Stars Prediction: Can Joe Pavelski, Stars Light the Lamp at Home?
The second play I want to dive into tonight takes us down to Texas for a showdown at the American Airlines Center. The Dallas Stars (16-8-3) host the Ottawa Senators (11-13) in their first meeting of the season, and I think these teams play with some tempo tonight.

Ottawa Senators vs. Dallas Stars Prediction
Dallas had a rough few games last week, but they were all against top tier teams gunning for them, and they played four big games in six days. They rebounded nicely with a 6-3 home win over Detroit a few days ago, and now have had a few days to rest up. Dallas home overs have been cruising this season at 9-4, and there is good reason why. The Stars struggle big time defensively on home ice sitting with a 3.54 GAA, sixth worst in the league. On the bright side, they score 3.57 per game on home ice, so they at least play balanced.
On the flip side, Ottawa is among the best teams offensively on the road this season sporting 3.57 GPG average, fourth best in the league so far this season. They sit in the middle of the pack defensively with a 3.14 GAA when on the road.
Ottawa is on the second leg of a back-to-back, losing 4-2 in St. Louis last night, after which they hopped on a plane and got down to Texas. They have lost two straight and three of their last four, but were playing better before that. Scoring has not been a huge issue, so I expect some positive regression out of them here.
They have hit a minimum of six goals in four of the last five head-to-head games, and the over has hit in four straight for Dallas.
