We have a small slate here tonight, but I found a play I am digging and I'm ready to dive into it. The New York Islanders are playing at the Capital One Arena in our nation's capital tonight as they take on the Washington Capitals in D.C. In my opinion, the lowest total is the best one on the board today, and I am ready to tell you why.

New York Islanders vs. Washington Capitals Prediction
New York is coming off of yet another big win last night, and I expect the style of hockey they have been playing to carry over into tonight. Over the last month, Isles games are averaging north of eight goals per contest, and the over has been cashing often. I do not expect Ilya Sorokin, the top netminder for the Isles, to play. Even if he did, it would be off a back-to-back.
On the flip side, this surprising Washington squad has been better at home offensively, and should be able to capitalize against a weak Isles defense that is still missing some key players. Washington will take advantage of this and find the back of then net tonight. On the flip side, they have struggled defensively at home over the last few weeks, and I think they concede enough tonight to help us get over this short number.
