Well we are finally back on the ice after what feels like a week long break from action but we have a loaded 14 game slate to make up for the lost action in the meantime. For our first play this evening, we are heading to the Enterprise Center for a clash between the St. Louis Blues and the visiting Dallas Stars.

Dallas Stars vs. St. Louis Blues Prediction
These squads met just a few weeks ago (I was actually at the game) and St. Louis was able to pull away with a 4-3 winner in overtime. With both squads well rested and motivated after the short break in the season, I expect things to get going early here in St. Louis.
Since the change at the helm, St. Louis has gone 4-1 scoring 20 goals in the meantime, although they are still conceding decently as well. They seem to have a little pep in their step and getting a division rival at home tonight that they just had a comeback victory against last week should have them all fired up. On the flip side, Dallas has won a lot more then they have lost this season so expect them to try to bounce back here tonight.
Both squads have been exceptional in regard to first period scoring lately and I want to ride the wave. St. Louis ranks fifth best in the league at 22/33 on the season for the 1p o1.5 and are 7-3 in their last ten games. Dallas ranks seventh at 21/32 and are 9-1 across their last ten games. Both are top ten for the GIFT and 8-2/9-1 for the GIFT in their last ten. The last two clashes in St. Louis saw seven goals.
