We didn't dive into the ice for any article plays this weekend with some big time football underway, but we are heading back to the ice to kick off our week here. The Florida Panthers (27-14-4) are heading to Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee for a clash with the Nashville Predators (25-20-1) that should be a good one. Nashville has taken three of the last five in the series head-to-head, but both of the most recent games were Florida victories by scores of 5-0 and 5-2.

Florida Panthers vs. Nashville Predators Prediction
I absolutely love this buy low spot on the Cats, they have dropped four straight games and will be without Aleksander Barkov for this game, which is a significant loss. With that said, this is still an incredibly talented team with plenty of guys that can step up in his absence. They have scored four or more in two of their last three, and played three straight one-goal games. They are not getting smoked down this rough stretch, they just aren't getting over the hump in close losses. This team is too good to go on a skid, and it is not the part of the season you want to be doing it in after having built yourselves up. I expect a highly motivated effort from the Panthers tonight.
Nashville is a solid squad, far better than I expected to be fair. I love Ryan O'Reilly, he changes locker rooms and has obviously had an impact on that team. The Preds are scrappy and I like that, I just think this is a really bad spot for them tonight. Florida is a better squad on both ends of the ice, and they are hungry for two points.
