The second game we are going to dive into today keeps us up north as we head to Alberta, Canada for this one. The Calgary Flames (21-20-5) host the St. Louis Blues (22-20-2) at the Scotiabank Saddledome tonight for the second meeting between these squads this season, and first in 2024. St. Louis took a 3-0 victory last time they played the Flames in Calgary, and will be looking to repeat that here today. On the flip side, Calgary has been playing well, but they are fresh off of back-to-back losses and should be motivated on home ice tonight.

St. Louis Blues vs. Calgary Flames Prediction
This comes down to two things primarily for me, the matchup and the time of year. Anytime these teams face each other there is a boat load of pace, and a lot of opportunities for things to happen on the scoreboard. Before Binnington's shutout last time they were in Calgary, the previous three meetings between the squads flew over.
St. Louis has things clicking up front lately, the forwards are playing well and the defense has been helping produce offensively, but they have gotten a little lucky on the back end and should probably be conceding more than they are. I love Jordan Binnington, but he is not always as sharp as he should be in the regular season. On the flip side, Jacob Markstrom has been off for nearly two weeks, and might have some rust to shake off. Calgary has been all over the place defensively this year, and a good St. Louis bunch will score.
This really isn't a numbers spot for me, both squads average north of 3.00 GPG; other than that, it is a feel play at a line I like, let's do it.
