Florida Panthers vs. Pittsburgh Penguins Prediction
I absolutely love the way the Cats are playing hockey right now. They are, just as they were last year, my dark horse in the conference. Losing after the dominant Presidents' Trophy season is what they needed, the stars and leaders on this roster have a chip on their shoulders and showed that last year in the terrific playoff run. I love the way they have looked in back-to-back wins to rebound from the short losing streak, and I am ready to take them again here tonight.
Now the really interesting thing here is when I woke up and saw this line I had a feeling; for some reason, my intuition had me believing that Florida was just absurd at these relatively short lines as a favorite. I know we have cashed on them in the -120 to -140 range this year multiple times, but now it feels like a lot so I dove into the data. The Cats are 12-3 on the moneyline when listed as a favorite between -147 and -117. An 80% clip as a short favorite when I already loved them in this game regardless is just another great reason to lock in on this one.
