COOLEY'S MIST failed to fire at Galway, but is worth another chance to confirm the promise he showed when scoring over C&D on his previous start. Lightly raced for trainer Harry Rogers, the four-year-old looks a strong stayer who has scope for improvement off his current mark. While his below-par run at the Festival last month is an obvious concern, the son of Churchill deserves another chance. Lauderdale King is almost certainly ahead of the handicapper. Having shaped with promise over shorter trips, the step up in distance looks a positive move. Ben Hur may not have quite stayed an extended 2m at Galway so has to enter calculations dropped back in trip.
