oddschecker Verdict

Having split two horses rated, at the time, in the 100s when fourth at Gowran Park, GODDESS OF WAR can get off the mark. Given that she performed so admirably in that winners' race, the Jessica Harrington-trained filly should be difficult to beat stepping into maiden company. Port Arthur is interesting stepping up in trip now having run with credit in three starts over 6f. Bred to appreciate this distance, the Michael Grassick-trained gelding looks one of the biggest dangers to the selection. Uncle Goalie also boasts leading claims having run well in both starts thus far.

Prediction: 1st Goddess Of War, 2nd Port Arthur, 3rd Uncle Goalie
