Aidan O'Brien has taken the last three renewals of this classic and saddles four this time around. The preference of those is for Derby winner Christmas Day, who finished a place behind stablemate Pierre Bonnard in the Great Voltiguer but is 5lb better off now and that form can be overturned. Even so, ENCELADUS looks the way to go. The son of Sea The Stars is unbeaten in three outings this year and took a big step forward when hitting the line well to take the Gordon Stakes at Goodwood. This step up in trip promises to bring out more improvement and the booking of Billy Loughnane is a massive positive.
