Newmarket Saturday 15:40 - Price Boost

oddschecker Verdict

BEYLERBEYI relished the step up in trip when taking this contest 12 months ago and there is every chance that Ian Williams' charge can defy a 10lb higher mark. A more-than-respectable fifth in the Ebor at York, the six-year-old then found only subsequent Prix du Cadran winner Caballo De Mar too good in the Doncaster Cup. The unexposed Sea Lantern bolted up on his handicap debut over 1m4f at Pontefract and a 4lb penalty is unlikely to prevent another bold bid if he can see out the distance. Valedictory is another with strong form claims, while Cock And Bull and Reverend Hubert are just two more to note.

Prediction: 1st Beylerbeyi, 2nd Sea Lantern, 3rd Valedictory
