Having relished a return to Plumpton in May, Jubilant merits consideration on his belated follow-up bid. However, this looks tougher for the seven-year-old and Bangor winner ERNEST GRAY appeals more. Alan King's gelding scored with enough in hand to suggest that a 4lb higher mark is surmountable and another bold bid is forecast. Reopposing runner-up Roger Pol was just over three lengths behind the selection and is entitled to finish closer off an unaltered rating.
