Robbie Handley has a couple of strong fancies in the North Group clash on Thursday evening.
These 2 sides are a tail of 2 very different stories last time out as pre-tournament favourites Yorkshire were hammered on their own patch by rank outsiders Leicestershire. Yorkshire bowled reasonably well, but were let down in the batting department after crumbling to 120 all out, losing by 59 runs.
Meanwhile up at Edgebaston, Worcestershire were causing their own upset by beating Warwickshire who many have tipped to win this year’s competition. Brett D’Oliveira played a crucial knock in the middle order and bowled a beautiful 4 over spell, conceding just 17 runs whilst dismissing big hitting Evans lbw.
T20 can be an unpredictable game, but with Yorkshire’s quality it’s difficult to see them losing 2 games on the spin. The top order are all due some runs and Liam Plunkett smashed a County Championship 50 this week, showing the depth of their batting. Yorkshire are my pick for this one, at 10-11.
You’ll find a potential star at the top of the Worcestershire card. Youngster Kohler-Cadmore boasts a T20 hundred to his name against an accomplished Durham attack earlier in the season. One to watch for the future and I’m backing him to be the top Worcestershire batsmen at 3-1.
