Four bets from @Oddschecker followers that came agonisingly close to landing this weekend.
Every Monday, we at Oddschecker will be running our #MondayMoan competition, giving the chance for you to send in your near misses from the weekend. We will then be compensating the most unlucky punter with a £20 free bet prize.
Therefore, if an odds-on shot lets down your acca, your horse is beaten by a nose or your boxer gets chinned in the first round, get that bet slip saved because we want to see it in our mentions (@Oddschecker) come Monday morning!
Here are some sickeners we saw in this weeks compeitition…
Real Madrid letting you down for £365 pic.twitter.com/6dWP7Tbbyq— Tom Murnaghan (@murnersss) October 30, 2017
@murnersss must have thought he was in the money when all he needed was 1/4 shot Real Madrid to beat newly promoted Girona to land a £365 payout, especially when the European Champions went 1-0 up. Girona fought back with two goals in four minutes in the second half and held on for victory. He certainly wasn’t the only one we saw who was stung by this result.
Vettel destroyed my bet #MondayMoan pic.twitter.com/OKY5IRH6wg— Gaz (@Leedsfan0101) October 30, 2017
Lewis Hamilton may have won the Driver Championship in Mexico but he didn’t win the race, to the dismay of @leedsfan0101. Who knows what would have happened had the Brit and Sebastien Vettel not collided on Turn One, forcing them both into pit stops and to the back of the field
I stupidly cashed out a bet by mistake, logged in later that day to check the returns, and realised I'd made a grave #MondayMoan pic.twitter.com/E3iIeNPmVO— Nick (@custardsnatcher) October 30, 2017
Ever cashed out a bet ridiculously early? @custardsnatcher managed to take his stake back before the first horse of his treble had even ran. He then painfully saw each leg roll in one after another. His saving grace being the stake was only £4, but missing out on £42 has got to leave a bad taste in the mouth.
Goal in both halves, Charlie adam missing 95th minute open goals to cost me pic.twitter.com/YfWkasIXoJ— Joel Connorton (@Joel__C) October 30, 2017
The chosen winner this week and has gone to @joel__C. Joel stuck a 'Goal In Both Halves acca' on and found himself waiting on a goal in the second half of the Watford v Stoke match. Not only were there some glaring misses, but Charlie Adam rounded the keeper in the 95th minute, only to hitting the upright of the open goal. FUMING!
