The second round of Championship midweek fixtures throws up some interesting games.
Ipswich v Brentford - 19:45
It depends if you are a glass half-full or glass half-empty person: Ipswich are unbeaten at home so far this season… But they haven’t won a game either! What you can say however is eight games have been played by Paul Hurst’s side and they have kept a clean sheet in none of those. Top of the table Brentford are full of confidence and look a very attractive price to keep their great start going tonight.
Derby v Blackburn - 19.45
Derby have scored in eight of their nine games this season, and Rovers have the exact same record. Their last meeting score both teams score and I believe that there is every chance that we see both teams hit the back of the net this evening.
Stoke v Swansea - 20.00
Stoke have not found life that easy back in the Championship: They looked to have turned the corner with two wins in four days at the end of last month, but got one point from their two away wins afterwards. Swansea have struggled too, albeit not as much, with two wins away from home already. It looks a tight game on paper, but the Swans have played some of their best football away from the Liberty Stadium and are evens double chance, which is enticing.
