The Championship action continues onto Wednesday and we have put together our best bets.
It hasn’t been the blistering start for Karanka’s new look side this season, with just one win in seven matches. Aside from a rare 0-0 for Forest at the weekend, both these sides are more than capable of scoring at the City Ground.
That was the first time Forest have failed to score this season but also their first clean sheet in the league, but don’t expect this to continue. Sheffield Wednesday have scored 11 and shipped in as many in just seven matches and BTTS at 51/50 looks the value bet in this one.
Millwall were within minutes of taking away Leeds United’s unbeaten record at the weekend until a late equaliser saw Neil Harris’ side have to walk away with just the point. That now takes them to four games without a win and are one of the Championships lowest scorers with seven goals.
QPR, the joint-lowest with five goals, have managed to turn their fortunes around with two wins and a draw, including two clean sheets, after a horrendous start to the campaign. With QPR finally looking more assured at the back and Millwall proving to be fairly wasteful in front of goal, under 2.5 looks the way forward in this affair.
Apart from a draw away to Forest, when Monk’s side managed threw a two goal lead away with just 15 minutes to go, Birmingham have been horrendous on the road, losing to Middlesbrough, Reading and Bolton.
The Blades didn’t get out the blocks all that well at the start of the season but a 4-1 demolition job over promotion chasing Aston Villa was mightily impressive. Their home form was strong last season, and will again be key to their success this campaign. 10/11 for a home win looks a great price.
