Ath. Bilbao vs Villarreal – Sunday 19:45, Sky Sports 5
Athletic Bilbao and Villarreal are 7th and 3rd respectively with five points between them. Along with Sevilla, these two sides are clubs with Champions League ambitions as they aim to snatch fourth spot behind the ‘Big Three’. For Athletic it’s just five points from the last 15 available, with no wins in three and two disappointing draws against under-performing sides in Osasuna and Espanyol most recently.
Villarreal recovered from their first defeat of the season in their last road game with a comfortable home victory over Betis last time out. Their success this season has been built on a solid defence as no team in the league has conceded fewer than their seven goals.
Bilbao may have had a few poor weeks in La Liga but they still remain a difficult side to face in their own back yard. So far only Barcelona have left the Basque country with all three points as they’ve won three of the other four fixtures. That defeat is just one of five since the start of last season, four of which have been against Barca, Real or Atletico. Villarreal have proven a tough cookie to crack this term so we’re favouring the draw as it will help keep the Yellow Submarines rivals at arms-length for that elusive fourth spot.£10 Free Credit and a £500 Deposit Bonus
