Well, we head into day four with a one shot lead over Philly Mick and a commanding lead on the rest of the field. It will be a close battle between the top two and I'm hoping we can get the better of Lefty. This is Henrik's first 54 hole lead in a major and although he exudes calmness and joviality today will no doubt be tough for him. Fingers crossed, this is where we need the odd ounce of luck for our bet to land. I thought Zach Johnson had all but secured place money in the top former winner market. He still should as he is four clear of Clarke and Harrington. McIlroy, Mickelson and Zach look set to take the top 3 places. Each way money there will be most welcome.
A couple of bets to be had heading into day four. First up Tony Finau is a classy golfer and he is putting some decent performances together in major tournaments now. He is up against Soren Kjeldsen today and although this test has suited the Dane he struggled in the wind yesterday and could struggle to stay under par today. Finau certainly has a fair bit more talent than Soren and has the length to make a score on the very tough back nine today. 5/4 and above is certainly worth taking.
Finally we'll have a small bet on Rory McIlroy in the without Stenson / Mickelson market. Most of these markets are set for 1130am but don't worry as they'll be in play all day and Rory is not off for a while yet. McIlroy's day four charges are becoming quite common whenever he is more or less beat. Today seems to be another of those cases and with the shackles off and no pressure the driver will be brought out on most occasions and he will be in attack mode from hole one. I wouldn't be surprised to see a 65 or a 66 today from the Holywood lad. With the place terms available if he shoots a round in the mid 60s he will not be unplaced. He hasn't been playing well but many of his day four charges have come after lacklustre golf.
