A disappointing day with our three ball bets yesterday as Day beat Phil comfortably and Bubba went down by a shot to Spieth. Our outright bets got off to a fine start though and we now have the tournament fav in Stenson. He is out early today and providing he doesn't get bad luck with the poor weather on the way then he could make enough hay to lead after two days. We have a few bets for today so I'll get them out here as quickly as possible.

David Lingmerth shot two under in round one and once again highlighted my Sawgrass link. He beat Berger by three and Clarke by six. Clarke will find this very tough and I can't see him figuring in this three ball once again. Berger is the type who could play well around here but I'd have Lingmerth a shade of odds on so with the 11/10 on offer I'm happy to bet.

Despite shooting one under yesterday and tying with Paul Casey in his three ball many firms have stuck with the same price or even pushed out Justin Thomas. Cabrera-Bello was a further three shots behind these two and the test doesn't exactly suit. I'd have had Thomas closer to 11/8 after yesterdays performance so with 13/8 and 7/4 readily available today he is worthy of support.

Kevin Kisner is another who has got Sawgrass form and with a solid one over par shot yesterday I believe his price is a shade too big in places. Grillo and Baddeley also performed well yesterday but I couldn't have Kisner drifting to 2/1 and beyond. He is a golfer who keeps it in play and with some rain forecast that won't help his playing partners I think he has every chance of winning this today. It is a risky bet considering how well Grillo played yesterday but I couldn't have him so short in this three ball.
