A round-up of five horses it could pay to follow this weekend and for the rest of the season.
Air Supremacy – 13.25 Killarney
New trainer Joseph O’Brien will be hopeful of a big first run over hurdles after changing from his dad Aidan. It will be the four-year-old’s first run over obstacles following impressive flat placings of 221. It will be very interesting to see how Air Supremacy fares at Killarney.
Emerald Approach – 13.30 Goodwood
On debut this daughter of New Approach was a very promising second. Clive Cox’s two year old did not have it easy that day in what looked a strong race and so she will only come on for that run.
Burnt Sugar has won two big field handicaps on his last two outings and goes for the hat-trick at Goodwood. He finished second in this very race last year but the extremely poor draw and fact he is 14lb higher is the reason why you will get a double figure price.
Frankel colt that keeps improving, destroying the field by 11 lengths at Lingfield last time out. The three-year-old has been fast tracked into group company and his breeding suggests he will lap up this step up in trip. Maid Up will provide a stern test and we’ll know a lot more about his potential after the race.
Only up 4lb from his victory at Newbury, 149-rated hurdler Dell Arca is once again one to take seriously on the flat. Two wins from his last three runs away from the jumps, the nine-year-old looked like he had plenty more to offer when steaming ahead late on his last outing.
