The Grand National Winner is now evens in places for the Cross Country.
It was supposed to be ‘just’ a tune-up for Tiger Roll but he powered up the Navan hill to win another Boyne Hurdle and underline just what a special horse he is.
You could have got 40/1 pre-race on Gordon Elliott’s nine-year-old, and a ten-pound bet on these best odds through Oddschecker would have got you £150 more returns than the worst odds of 25/1!
The result has unsurprisingly seen his odds shorten for March’s Cross Country Chase at Cheltenham. He’s now just EVENS in places and 2/1 best price, in from the 3/1 that you could have got this morning.
Since the start of the weekend, a whopping 95% of total bets in the Cross Country market have gone on Tiger Roll, and that figure rises to 97% when looking at the bets placed since this afternoon’s latest win.
He’s also just 10/1 now for back-to-back Grand National triumph’s, after being 20/1 this morning.
14/1 is the best price, with 88% of total bets placed this Sunday going on the horse who has the potential to become the first consecutive winner of the National since the great Red Rum in 1973 and 1974.
Oddschecker spokesman George Elek: “Just when you think you’ve seen it all from Tiger Roll, he nonchalantly wins a Boyne Hurdle at 40/1 pre-race odds. He’s got every chance to have as good a year as he did in 2018, and he won’t be 40/1 for a race anytime soon!”
