Nebraska Next Head Coach: Scott Frost's Seat Continues to Heat up After Week 1

Nebraska opened their season with a loss to Northwestern, a game they should have won pretty handily. They followed up that letdown performance with yet another clunker against North Dakota (an FCS school).

Nebraska was a 24-point favorite heading into this game and the score was tied up at 17 heading into the fourth quarter. Naturally, the spotlight was on Scott Frost yet again after his team's poor performance.

21 unanswered points would inflate this score to 38-17 but if you watched the game in its entirety you know this isn't your prototypical 20+ point victory. Does Nebraska really have a problem at head coach with Scott Frost?

Scott Frost is likely to get fired this year as the odds are giving him a 75% chance to get canned. Unfortunately, Frost didn't learn from any of his mistakes that were made in Week 0 against Northwestern.

For instance, up 11 points in the third quarter, Nebraska attempted an onside kick. They didn't recover and that was the turning point of the game in their loss to the much better-coached Northwestern. Yesterday, they attempted a squib kick that did not go very well either.

Since making the jump from UCF, Scott Frost has struggled at Nebraska. He is just 16-30 since 2018 and he has never had more than five wins in a season. It's been five years now, and we just witnessed Nebraksa go 1-8 in the conference last year.

It's time. Who will replace him is still very much up in the air but this one feels like a matter of when not if.
