I know that we have a loaded NHL slate tonight but I just cannot pass up the opportunities here with Opening Day baseball so we are going back to the diamond and man this game should be awesome! Two of the most successful franchises in MLB history are clashing this afternoon at Dodger Stadium as the St. Louis Cardinals head to the west coast for a clash with the Los Angels Dodgers and I expect this one to be a high scoring affair.

St. Louis Cardinals vs. Los Angels Dodgers Prediction
These are two of the most talented lineups in the league and there is absolutely no reason we shouldn't see a plethora of runs here, I really could not care less who was pitching for either squad. Los Angeles has one of the most incredible lineups in the league with Mookie Betts, Freddie Freeman, Will Smith, Max Muncy and Co... add in Shohei Ohtani and it is legitimately terrifying.
With that said, St. Louis is one of the few teams that I do not think is intimidated by that whatsoever. Veteran super stars Nolan Arenado and Paul Goldschmidt are leaders on this team with plenty of talent left in the tank and young stars like Brendan Donovan, Nolan Gorman and Jordan Walker are all sluggers.
St. Louis has won three of the last four meetings head to head. Four of the last five meetings between these squads have easily gone over this number and I see a similar result here all day. I will likely be taking overs for much of this four game series.
