This is a bit juicy, but I think it should be even more expensive than it is. Fading Miami will be something we do a bit of after the deadline. Miami had a shockingly competitive series against Atlanta after the trade deadline, but I expect major regression going forward.
Cincinnati Reds vs. Miami Marlins Prediction
Cincinnati is pitching Nick Martinez who holds a 3.65 ERA, but a much a better road ERA of 2.40. Additionally, he is a better night time pitcher than daytime pitcher. I expect him to be solid in however many innings he goes, and that Cincinnati will close it out with their 7th ranked bullpen in the MLB.
Pitching for Miami is Roddery Munoz. He will be at home where he has worse splits, holding a 6.43 home ERA. Munoz has allowed 15 runs in his last 21.2 innings pitched. The Reds aren’t a super team, but have more than enough firepower to take advantage of this matchup and likely get us an early lead. I like everything about Cincinnati more than Miami and don’t want to overthink today. Let's roll!
