Friday MLB Parlay: Can James Wood, Jose Ramirez Deliver in Today's Hit Ladder Parlay?
Friday's MLB slate has a flurry of exciting weekend matchups, starting slightly earlier in the evening. MJC Locks is back with his MLB hit parlay for today, and he's targeting Guardians star Jose Ramirez, among others. Check out his MLB parlay ladder play for Friday, May 16th.

We have a nice 15 game MLB slate today and I have found two hitters that I am absolutely loving for it. I am going to be targeting Cleveland Guardians super star Jose Ramirez and Washington Nationals rising star James Wood, who both have incredible matchups today. Let's get into how I'm playing their props.

Friday MLB Parlay: May 16th
Jose Ramirez gets a familiar matchup with Reds starter Brady Singer; except this time, he’s not pitching for Kansas City. Ramirez has dominated this matchup historically, going 12 for 27 (.444 AVG) and has a hit in 10 of the last 11 matchups. He hits the pitch mix very well and is in great form. He’s on a 9-game hit streak, hitting .406 over that span. He also hits great on the road (.333 AVG) and has great chance at 5+ plate appearances. He’ll play in a very hitter friendly ballpark too, where he would’ve hit 53 HRs (vs 41 actual) last season. I love his matchup today!
James Wood is also in a great spot in my opinion. His matchup today is against Orioles' lefty Cade Povich. Povich has really struggled with a .304 expected batting average allowed and a 6.25 expected ERA allowed. Wood has hit lefties well, with a .281 batting average against them this season. Against the pitch mix he will see (vs lefties), he has these career numbers:
- vs. Sweeper: .368 AVG
- vs. 4-Seam: .357 AVG
- vs. Sinker: .262 AVG
Additionally, the Nationals have been sneaky good vs lefties as of late so I think they can put up some runs. Since CJ Abrams return to the lineup, they rank 9th in wRC+ vs lefties & 4th best in wRC+ in road games. In Wood’s last two games vs. starting lefties, he's gone 2-for-4 and 4-for-5, and I think he can have similar success here tonight.
