AL Cy Young Award Winner Odds

American League Cy Young Award Winner

Tarik Skubal (-150) Click here to see which sportsbook has the best odds

The reigning aL Cy Young Award winner, Tarik Skubal, has remained red hot for the Detroit Tigers in 2025. Skubal ranks third in WAR for pitchers (3.5), seventh in ERA (2.29) and tied first with nine wins recorded.

The 28-year-old lefty is coming off of his worst performance since May 20th. He surrendered six hits and four earned runs, including a pair of home runs, to the Athletics on Tuesday.

The Tigers currently sit with an 8.5 game lead in the AL Central. This helps Skubal's case to win the AL Cy Young Award in back-to-back seasons, which hasn't been done since Pedro Martinez with the Boston Red Sox in 1999 and 2000.

Depending on how much juice you prefer to lay, -150 odds on his AL Cy Young Award prop could look like a steal if Skubal bounces back heading into July.

Garrett Crochet (+300) Click here to see which sportsbook has the best odds

Boston's move to acquire Garrett Crochet during the offseason has paid off. The Red Sox are hovering around .500 right now but Crochet has delivered on the bump, ranking second in WAR for pitchers (3.8) and fourth in ERA (2.06) with a 7-4 record as a starter.

He's another lefty who is currently playing at the top of his game. Crochet has allowed two total runs in his previous three starts combined, while racking up between seven and 12 strikeouts in five consecutive outings for Boston.

+300 odds feels like good value to grab on Crochet to win his first career Cy Young Award.

Hunter Brown (+700) Click here to see which sportsbook has the best odds

Houston's offense has endured slumps this season but Hunter Brown has bailed them out on numerous occasions. The righty has an 8-3 record as a starter for the Astros in 2025, boasting a 1.88 ERA and a 3.4 WAR, which rank second-best and sixth-best in the MLB.

Brown has held five straight opponents to two or fewer runs and is 4-0 as a starter in June. He does give up home runs but has been consistent with walking minimal batters, while allowing four or fewer hits in four consecutive outings.

Oddsmakers are currently valuing Brown at +700 to win his first AL Cy Young Award in 2025. Playing in a relatively weak AL West helps Brown's case, especially with Houston holding a 5.5 game lead in the division over Seattle.

NL Cy Young Award Winner Odds

National League Cy Young Award Winner

Paul Skenes (-230) Click here to see which sportsbook has the best odds

The Pittsburgh Pirates are not a good baseball team but they have Paul Skenes in their starting rotation. He's one of baseball's best pitchers, leading the league in ERA (1.85), WAR for Pitchers (4.3) and numerous other metrics.

We did just watch a surging Milwaukee Brewers lineup record four runs against Skenes on Wednesday. It was a rare day where Skenes lasted only four innings, giving up all of Milwaukee's runs in the 2nd inning.

-230 odds is an extremely short price for a pitcher with a 4-6 record in 2025. Yes, it's primarily due to the Pirates' porous offense, but this is still a factor when it comes to betting on pitchers in futures awards markets.

Skenes will have better starts moving forward. However, betting on him to win the NL Cy Young Award at -230 odds is too expensive, especially with the amount of pressure Pittsburgh's lackluster bats places on him to carry the team to victory.

Zack Wheeler (+450) Click here to see which sportsbook has the best odds

Zack Wheeler is a veteran that's been around the league since 2013. The Phillies ace may be 35 years old but he's still tied for fourth in WAR for pitchers at 3.5 alongside Skubal and Max Fried.

The Phillies' offense has been stale and very inconsistent this season. Wheeler has delivered wins when needed, sitting with a 7-2 record as a starter in 2025 with a 2.61 ERA. He's limited two of his previous five opponents, the athletics and Mets, to zero runs.

It's a bit surprising to see a pitcher of Wheeler's talent without a Cy Young Award. He's a two-time All-Star and has recorded three straight wins against the Cubs, Blue Jays and Mets, launching Philadelphia back into the NL East division lead by half a game.

Wheeler's doing his job but he needs Philadelphia's lineup to find its rhythm soon. +450 odds as the second betting favorite in the NL Cy Young Award market is certainly tempting, particularly behind a favorite who pitches on a bottom-tier team.

Logan Webb (+850) Click here to see which sportsbook has the best odds

Logan Webb is a distant third at +850 to win the 2025 NL Cy Young Award. The 28-year-old righty has been solid for San Francisco throughout his career and this season has been no different.

Webb is 7-6 as a starter with a 2.49 ERA, although his WAR is down at 2.2. He'd won three straight starts for the Giants before losing to Miami on Wednesday night. Webb has surrendered six or more hits in six of seven previous outings.

Webb is good at avoiding walks at the plate, while giving up only six total home runs in 16 starts on the mound. He's coming off of his first All-Star season in 2024 and currently has a career low ERA.

I'm still hesitant on how good Webb is in comparison to the other two favorites in the NL Cy Young Award market. San Francisco doesn't have a reliable offense and he's already endured a 3-3 stretch and another 1-5 slump as a starter.

+850 odds holds value in a vacuum. However, these odds should be a bit longer for a pitcher like Webb in this awards market.
