Arkansas won't have their best pitchers available against LSU for Game 1 of this Semifinal matchup. The Razorbacks have leaned on their defense to get to this point. They shut down Murray State in a dominant 3-0 win on Monday in an Elimination Game thanks to pitcher Gage Wood's no-hitter, recording 19 strikeouts.
The Razorbacks followed up their 3-0 shutout win against Murray State with a 7-3 win over No. 15 UCLA on Tuesday. Tonight, they'll face a familiar opponent in LSU for the fifth time this season. The Tigers are 3-1 SU against Arkansas. Their most recent head-to-head matchup against the Razorbacks resulted in a 4-1 win on Saturday in a Double Elimination Round.
LSU's offense is firing on all cylinders. The Tigers just scored nine runs to beat No. 15 UCLA during Tuesday's 9-5 win in a Double Elimination Round game. Now, LSU is one win away from going back to the College World Series Championship Final for the second time since winning it in 2023.
Oddsmakers are leaning toward Arkansas in a must-win spot, laying -120 odds on the Razorbacks' moneyline. LSU is even money (+100 odds), making them a slight underdog, despite going 3-1 SU against Arkansas this season. The run total is set high at 11.5, with -115 odds on either side of this line.
