Jonathan Aranda has quietly had a breakout season and is one of the big reasons the Rays have won 16 of their last 23 games to pull within 1.5 games of first place in the American League East. Aranda feasts on right-handed pitching and will face one in Baltimore. After going through a slump, Kyle Stowers is back with a 1.063 OPS over the last 15 days and three home runs over the last six games. Both have appealing player props on Saturday.

Jonathan Aranda is having a breakout season for the Rays. The first baseman is slashing .331/.411/.496 with 16 doubles, nine home runs, and 42 RBIs. Aranda is in the 93rd percentile or better in several categories including average exit velocity (93rd), hard hit rate (98th), and xBA (99th percentile).
Aranda has a 12-game hitting streak during which he is batting .396 (19-for-48) with eight runs scored, four doubles, one home run and five RBIs. Aranda has done well against left-handers and crushed right-handers with all of his nine home runs and a .332 average and .937 OPS.
Aranda will face Orioles’ right-hander Zach Eflin, who has a 5.46 ERA and 1.38 WHIP. Eflin has been getting crushed by left-handers. Elfin has a 2.21 HR/9 and has allowed .688 slugging percentage, 1.044 OPS, 13 of his 15 home runs and a .438 wOBA to lefties. Aranda is 2-for-5 with a double against Eflin.

The Marlins have won five consecutive games, including four to start their West Coast trip. They have scored 37 runs over the last five games and Kyle Stowers has played a big part. The Marlins outfielder is 7-for-19 with five runs, three doubles, three home runs and six RBIs over the last six games and gone over this prop in each one. For the season, Stowers is slashing .277/.352/.496 with 36 runs, 13 home runs and 40 RBIs.
The left-handed Stowers has an .863 OPS and all of his home runs against right-handers. The Diamondbacks will start righty Brandon Pfaadt. He has a 5.49 ERA, 1.39 WHIP, 18.3% strikeout rate and a 1.79 HR/9. He has a 6.82 xERA, a 49.8% hard hit rate, and a 13% barrel rate. Almost every stat is awful.
Pfaadt has always had problems getting out lefties and nothing has changed. He has allowed an .861 OPS and nine of his 16 home runs to lefties. Over his last 18 innings, Pfaadt has allowed 31 hits, 22 earned runs, and four home runs.
