Timberwolves vs. Lakers Same-Game Parlay: Can Luka Doncic, Lakers Step Up Defensively in Game 2?
The Minnesota Timberwolves shocked the Los Angeles Lakers in Game 1, winning 117-95 on the road. Anthony Edwards dropped 22 points and came close to a triple-double. Meanwhile, Jaden McDaniels and Naz Reid both added 23+ points in the win.
Funny enough, McDaniels and Reid both out-scored LeBron James, who only finished with 19 points in the loss.
While James struggled to score, Luka Doncic struggled to dish out assists. Doncic added 37 points and eight rebounds, but he added only one assist. Ever since the move from Dallas to Los Angeles, Doncic hasn't stuffed the box score like he did with the Mavericks.
Austin Reaves even acknowledged that the Lakers weren't prepared and didn't put in enough effort. Ultimately, Game 1 should be viewed as a wake-up call. We'll see if the Lakers can rebound from their loss and tie the series at one tonight.
That said, I've added a same-game parlay for tonight's Game 2 matchup between the Timberwolves and Lakers.

NBA Same Game Parlay - Minnesota Timberwolves vs. Los Angeles Lakers
Leg 1: Lakers -5.5 (-110)
The Lakers can't afford to lose multiple home games to begin the playoffs. They'll be focused on the defensive end. That's how they've beaten the Timberwolves in the past.
In the two regular-season wins for the Lakers, the Timberwolves were held to no more than 103 points in either game. It starts on the defensive end.
Minnesota shot an effective field goal percentage of 64.2% in Game 1. The Timberwolves also scored 136.1 points per 100 possessions. That's elite stuff, and it's super hard to do on the road. I wouldn't expect the T-Wolves to dominate this much offensively and hit 21 threes again.
The Lakers should continue to keep Minnesota away from the foul line and will need to be a bit more aggressive on the offensive glass. If the Lakers can buy in defensively, they'll find a way.
Leg 2: Rui Hachimura Under 5.5 Rebounds (-162)
The Timberwolves rank No. 2 in the NBA in rebounds allowed to power forwards this season. Meanwhile, Rui Hachimura has added no more than five rebounds in three consecutive games.
He even finished with just five rebounds in Game 1 against the Timberwolves on Saturday.
Hachimura has recorded at least six rebounds in only two of his last ten games. He's also averaged four rebounds per game against Minnesota over the last 13 games. He's hit six or more rebounds in just three of those 13 games against the Timberwolves.
Beyond that, Hachimura has averaged only 6.8 potential rebounds per game. It's hard to grab each potential rebound, but that's ultimately what he'd have to do if he wanted at least six rebounds against the Timberwolves.
Leg 3: Mike Conley Over 3.5 Assists (-136)
Even if the Timberwolves lose, Mike Conley can still earn at least four assists.
He's hit this prop in six of his last ten games, but only added three against the Lakers in Game 1.
Still, Conley has delivered at least four assists in 14 of his last 17 games against the Lakers. He's also nailed this line in 61% of games this season.
While Conley only had three assists against the Lakers in Game 1, he still had six potential assists. Typically, six potential assists usually result in at least four assists for Conley. I'd also expect Conley to see 25+ minutes in tonight's game, which would be more than he's seen in three straight games.
Timberwolves vs. Lakers Same-Game Parlay (+449) (Bet $100 to Collect $549)
- Leg 1: Lakers -5.5 (-110)
- Leg 2: Rui Hachimura Under 5.5 Rebounds (-162)
