Warriors vs. Knicks Prediction, Best Bet, Latest NBA Summer League Odds - Thursday, July 16th
Golden State Warriors vs. New York Knicks odds list the Warriors as 6.5-point favorites for Thursday’s NBA Summer League matchup on ESPN2. Golden State is coming off a blowout loss to Memphis, but Yaxel Lendeborg, LJ Cryer and a deeper Warriors summer roster are well-positioned to bounce back against a thinner Knicks group.

4 Minute ReadWarriors vs. Knicks Prediction: Will Yaxel Lendeborg, Golden State Bounce Back against Knicks?
The Golden State Warriors face the New York Knicks on Thursday, July 16, at 7 PM ET on ESPN2 in Las Vegas. Golden State is a 6.5-point favorite at -265 on the moneyline, while New York is +6.5 with a +210 moneyline price and the total is set at 172.5.
This is a bounce-back spot for the Warriors after they were handled by the Grizzlies, 106-85, in their last Summer League game. That result cooled some of the early momentum from Golden State’s strong start, but the Warriors still have the more complete roster and the best player on the floor in Lendeborg. Memphis shot the ball well and created separation early, while Golden State never found enough defensive consistency to make the game competitive late.
Lendeborg remains the biggest storyline. The No. 11 pick has already shown real NBA rotation traits, opening Las Vegas with 21 points, 10 rebounds and six assists against Dallas, then adding 14 points with four made 3s and three steals in the Warriors’ 104-79 win over Oklahoma City. He followed that with 15 points and nine rebounds against Memphis, even in a game where Golden State was beaten badly.

The Warriors also have more supporting scoring than the Knicks. LJ Cryer has been one of the best Summer League guards on the roster, including 25 points against Dallas, while Golden State has gotten useful minutes from Will Richard, Malevy Leons, Hunter Sallis and other developmental pieces. That matters in this format because one rookie star is not enough if the backcourt cannot keep possessions organized and spacing functional.
New York’s summer roster has been more limited. Jack Kayil, the No. 39 pick, is the key new addition and has flashed real guard skill, posting 12 points, five rebounds and three assists in his debut loss to San Antonio before scoring 19 points in the Knicks’ win over Detroit. Tyler Nickel has been the other major bright spot, scoring 18 points with six 3s against Brooklyn and 16 points with four 3s against San Antonio.
The issue is that the Knicks’ overall results have been uneven. They were blown out 91-65 by Brooklyn and 70-49 by San Antonio before grinding out a win over Detroit. Kayil and Nickel give them shooting and creation, but this is not a roster loaded with recent first-round talent or multiple high-end new additions. Against a Warriors team built around Lendeborg’s physicality and versatility, New York may struggle to keep pace if its perimeter shooting cools.
Rest status is always a Summer League variable, and late scratches can change the handicap quickly. As of the current market setup, the number still reflects Golden State’s core being treated as available enough to justify favorite status. If Lendeborg gets his normal workload, the Warriors have the frontcourt edge, the better two-way prospect and the stronger offensive structure.

The best-bet case comes down to talent and response. Golden State was embarrassed by Memphis, but that loss creates a sharper focus spot against a Knicks team that has not shown enough consistent scoring to trust as an underdog. Lendeborg’s all-around impact should set the tone, Cryer gives the Warriors another reliable scoring outlet, and the roster gap is wide enough for Golden State to win by margin.
