The Minnesota Vikings lost to the Philadelphia Eagles on Monday night and are now 1-1 on the season. They'll welcome the 1-1 Detroit Lions to U.S. Bank Stadium for a divisional Sunday afternoon showdown.

The Lions beat the Washington Commanders, 36-27 last week but lost to the Philadelphia Eagles, 38-35 in the previous week.

One thing is for sure, though. The Lions can put up points in a hurry.

Detroit has averaged 421.5 yards per game on the offensive end but has also allowed 442 yards on the defensive end. The defense playing like that won't help the Lions win games.

Jared Goff has six touchdowns thrown for the Lions with just one interception. He's also found Amon-Ra St. Brown 17 times for 180 yards and a touchdown. That's a genuine connection that is developing in Detroit. DeAndre Swift is healing from an ankle injury but should have more on his plate this week. He's rushed 20 times for 200 yards and a touchdown. Swift, when healthy, looks like one of the best running backs in the league.

The defense, however, has been missing a lot of tackles. They've been below average in pretty much every category on the defensive end.

Meanwhile, the Vikings have scored just 15 points per game while allowing 15.5 points per game.

Kirk Cousins is leading Minnesota at quarterback with 498 yards passing. He's thrown three touchdowns but also has three interceptions on the year.

Cousins has the luxury of playing with a couple of studs. Dalvin Cook has rushed for 107 yards on 26 carries. The Vikings would love to get him going this week. Meanwhile, Justin Jefferson already has 232 yards on 15 catches with two touchdowns.

The offense for the Vikings will take on an underwhelming Lions defense that simply can't do much right on that end. Let's exploit that.

Here are some player props for Sunday's matchup between the Detroit Lions vs. Minnesota Vikings.

Minnesota Vikings vs. Detroit Lions Prop Predictions

D'Andre Swift Over 44.5 Rushing Yards (-115) (Bet $115 to win $100)

Swift has rushed for 200 yards through two games this season. He already practiced on Friday leading up to the game.

Yet his rushing prop is still sitting at 44.5. Even if his workload isn't where it needs to be, he'll get enough reps and should be able to break out for a significant gain against the Vikings.

The Vikings haven't looked great against the run. Swift has broken out for a 50-yard rush in two straight weeks. That rush alone would win this prop!

Amon-Ra St. Brown Over 73.5 Receiving Yards (-115) (Bet $115 to win $100) Justin Jefferson Over 98.5 Receiving Yards (-115)

I'm also expecting a shootout. Detroit has scored an average of 35.5 points per game while allowing an average of 32.5 points per game.

Justin Jefferson is going to be heavily targeted for the Vikings. Minnesota will get back on track this week offensively, going up against an inadequate Lions coverage.

On the other hand, no receiver has been as consistent as Amon-Ra St. Brown. He continues to shine, dating back to last year, and already has 17 receptions for 180 yards. He'll see around ten targets in this game, especially if it's as back and forth as expected.

Play both receivers to get over their total receiving yards.
