This Georgia Southern team has really gone through the gauntlet this season. They are 3-3 on the season and have had to play a lot of road games and some tough teams also. This Georgia Southern team is no slouch either. They have a very good run game and have been putting up points on the season. They average 37ppg and are seven points away from being 5-1 on the season. They lost to Georgia State and Coastal Carolina by a total of seven points.

This team has been there with every team they have played this year. They just haven't been able to close out games. They even went to Nebraska and took out the cornhuskers on their home field. Now they get to play new ranked James Madison. James Madison has made the jump from FCS to FBS and has shown they can compete. They were one of the best FCS schools and now they are running their conference in the FBS.

The one thing about this game is both of these teams will score. James Madison averages 44PPG this season while Georgia Southern is averaging 37ppg. Both of these teams have really shown how dangerous their offenses can be. The question will be if their defenses can make the stops needed.

Georgia Southern is 2-0 at home this season and has shown that they like playing at home. This in my opinion that James Madison is their first real road test of the season. They're also ranked so they now have a target on their back.

I really expect this Georgia Southern team to come out and pound the football against them. Georgia Southern is averaging 169 rushing yards a game and 333 passing yards a game. As I said this offense is very dangerous. This spread in my opinion is way too high. The oddsmakers are really downplaying Georgia Southern a lot on this one. This Georgia Southern team will put up a fight and not quit no matter what happens.

So I watch this Georgia Southern team play Coastal Carolina and Nebraska this season. They really have some athletes on the offensive side of the ball. They got a bunch of players who can really step up to make plays. Their quarterback Kyle Vantrease has almost 2,000 passing yards on the season with 13 touchdowns. He is really showing out and having a great season. Their running back Jalen White has 600 yards with eight touchdowns.

As I said this offense is super talented. Yes, their defense is shaky but the home crowd will definitely help them out a lot in this game. James Madison hasn't been tested really this season and this test will definitely be a close one. So I'm riding Georgia Southern spread in this one. It's way too high in my opinion.
