NFL Divisional Round Sunday Player Props: Top Anytime TD Scorer Bets for Bucs vs. Lions, Chiefs vs. Bills
NFL Divisional Round Saturday Player Props: Top Anytime TD Scorer Bets for Buccaneers vs. Lions, Chiefs vs. Bills
The NFL Divisional Round delivered in a big way on Saturday night, with an exciting comeback win for the San Francisco 49ers over the Green Bay Packers. We hit touchdown scorers with George Kittle (+145) in the late game and Isaiah Likely (+230) in the Ravens afternoon game.
On Sunday, we have two much closer games than Saturday's potential blowouts. The Detroit Lions will host the Tampa Bay Buccaneers after winning their first playoff game in three decades. The first game figures to be very high scoring with a 49.5 and rising total. It has already gone up two points, and these offenses are exciting to get to work in the dome at Ford Field.
Then, the Kansas City Chiefs will head up to Buffalo for a date with the Bills as they renew their playoff rivalry. That second matchup is expected to be the game of the week, with all eyes on Mahomes vs. Allen. It may not be as high scoring, but there will be targets to the biggest stars when the game is on the line.
In order to find success in the touchdown scorers market, it is important to script how the game will go. Some will turn to TD scorers to avoid making a pick on the spread, but if you don't feel confidently about how the game will go, it will make it even harder to hit a longshot scorer.
Will we see a flurry of touchdowns in these exciting matchups? Let's take a look at the total points odds and see how that translates to finding the end zone on Sunday afternoon. Read on to see our top touchdown scorer prop bets in Buccaneers vs. Lions and Chiefs vs. Bills.
NFL Divisional Round Saturday Top Anytime TD Bets
Travis Kelce (+135)Â Click here to see which sportsbook has the best odds
Travis Kelce finds himself with the fourth-best odds to score a touchdown, a rare spot for the superstar tight end. Kelce is enduring one of his worst seasons from a scoring standpoint in his decade-long career, with only five touchdowns through 17 games. It is his lowest since 2019, despite playing in every game for the Chiefs except one.
It is important to look back at the history to see why Kelce could break through in this one. In 2022, Kelce didn't score for the final six games of the regular season. He went on to bounce back, finding at least one touchdown in every contest and amounting to four total. While Kelce didn't grab one in the first round game against the Dolphins, the Chiefs didn't really need to throw the ball much in that cold weather domination. They only found the end zone twice amongst a flurry of field goals, and their opponent didn't put up much of a fight.
Things will be different this week, with a back-and-forth contest expected in Buffalo on Sunday night. The Bills are arguably the hottest team in football, and the Chiefs will have to ratchet up the offense to keep up. Kansas City has continually struggled to find wide receiver production outside of rookie Rashee Rice, so Kelce will still be a go-to target for Mahomes when the going gets tough on the road. Look for Kelce to break his seven-game drought when the Chiefs need him the most, and get a big touchdown as they vie for a playoff upset.
Mike Evans (+100) Click here to see which sportsbook has the best odds
Mike Evans is beyond due in this spot. The Tampa Bay touchdown scorer debate usually comes down to if Mike Evans or Chris Godwin is going to score on a given Sunday, because one or the other normally does. Godwin scored last week against the Eagles, while Evans hasn't in three weeks. We expect Evans to bounce back here in a high total game against a weaker Lions defense. He has a whopping 13 receiving touchdowns on the year, and also dropped touchdowns against the Eagles and Panthers in recent weeks. He will fix those woes when his team needs him the most and will find the end zone on Sunday afternoon in Detroit.
Amon-Ra St. Brown (+105) Click here to see which sportsbook has the best odds
Amon-Ra St. Brown has been a target machine throughout the Lions run this year. He scored a TD in four straight weeks before failing to get in last week. But it wasn't a bad game by any means, he hauled in seven grabs for 110 yards and was wide open across the middle throughout the contest. In fact, he has 100+ yards in four of the last five games, and has consistently connected with Jared Goff when he needs it the most. In a game of this magnitude for the Lions franchise, they will lean on what got them to this spot, and continue to feed St. Brown in clutch spots. St. Brown also scored in their Week 6 meeting, and should find a way to have success on this defense once again.
Jameson Williams (+190) Click here to see which sportsbook has the best odds
Jameson Williams is a bit of a longer shot to find the end zone in this one, but has great value. Williams has been a big play energizer for the Lions offense, despite only having two touchdowns on the year. He had a 63 yard play against the Cowboys at the end of the regular season, but somehow didn't get in. The Lions use him out of the backfield as well, so he could find the end zone on a jet sweep or trick play with his electric speed. Williams may have not scored a whole lot this year, but his first one came against the Bucs in that October meeting, and the Lions' coaching staff will be eager to get him the ball in space in this high total game with everything on the line.
Dalton Kincaid (+300) Click here to see which sportsbook has the best odds
We are targeting both of the main tight ends in this Chiefs vs. Bills showdown. At the end of the day, the tight end is the quarterback's safety blanket when they are in trouble. They are some of the largest bodies on the field, giving a great target area to fit the ball into. When the game is on the line in the playoffs, especially in the red zone, the tight end is always a go-to target.
Allen has been feeding rookie Dalton Kincaid through the season, and found both of his tight ends for the first two touchdowns in the Wild Card Round against the Steelers. With the Bills having two main guys, it creates a level of competition that we usually would avoid in a touchdown scoring scenario. However, while Knox got the first TD grab last week, that was his only catch. Kincaid has been outpacing him in targets and yards all year, and emerged as the clear no. 1 after Knox returned from an injury stint.
Mecole Hardman (+750) Click here to see which sportsbook has the best odds
Let's end the writeup with a major long shot scorer in the Chiefs vs. Bills game. Mecole Hardman returned to the Chiefs halfway through this year after a failed stint with the Jets. He may not get a ton of targets, but in a season of disastrous wide receiver play, Patrick Mahomes is going to look to someone he trusts when the game is in jeopardy. We expect a nail-biter between these two AFC playoff foes, and Hardman has experience in deep Chiefs playoff runs that the rest of this receiver corp lacks. The fifth-year pro doesn't have a touchdown yet this year, but has 16 in his career with the Chiefs and spent half of this year injured and on another team. He is just now getting back into a groove with this offense, and has the connection with Mahomes to capitalize on. He may have long odds at +750, but with the Chiefs receivers playing roulette with who scores the TD's outside of Rashee Rice, he has as good of a chance as anyone to get into the end zone on a classic Andy Reid misdirection play.
