JAXSON DART TO BE DRAFTED IN THE 2ND ROUND (+188)
Ole Miss QB Jaxson Dart elevated his stock during the NFL Draft process. Rumors of the New York Giants trading in the middle of the first round to acquire Dart have begun to heat up, cooling off previous expectations of drafting Colorado QB Shedeur Sanders at No. 3.
Dart to be selected in the 2nd Round is currently +188 odds. Oddsmakers believe Dart may not last that long and may even be picked before Sanders on Thursday night. It's tempting to take this number at +188 on Dart sliding into the 2nd Round but I don't trust that scenario.
Dart's 6-2, 223-pound frame and playing in the SEC should attract a front office during the First Round. I doubt we see the Ole Miss signal-caller fall out of the 1st Round.
ASHTON JEANTY TO BE DRAFTED BY CHICAGO BEARS OR DALLAS COWBOYS (+142)
Over the last couple of days, Boise State RB Ashton Jeanty's name has been increasingly linked to the Jacksonville Jaguars at No. 5. The Jaguars brought in head coach Liam Coen, formerly Tampa Bay's OC, who successfully utilized rookie RB Bucky Irving, turning him into the Buccaneers' RB1.
Jeanty was a Heisman Trophy finalist and set all kinds of records in the Mountain West with his combination of power, breakaway speed, and elusiveness. Travis Etienne and Tank Bigsby may not be satisfactory enough for the Jaguars' new front office.
FanDuel is offering this special on Jeanty to wind up being drafted by either the Chicago Bears or Dallas Cowboys. This would mean one of these teams would trade up to fifth from No. 10 or No. 12. Or, Jeanty will slide if Jacksonville opts to draft Michigan DT Mason Graham instead.
The Bears and Cowboys could definitely use Jeanty's talent in their backfield this season based on their current running back depth charts. Especially with Bears' new head coach, Ben Johnson, the Detroit Lions' former OC, Chicago will likely be aggressive with how they build their offense for QB Caleb Williams in 2025.
I don't hate this special at +142 odds. Jeanty is currently -200 to go fifth overall to Jacksonville. There's definitely a chance we see the top running back in this draft class get taken by two teams in need of a running back upgrade.
SHEDEUR SANDERS TO BE DRAFTED BY NEW YORK GIANTS OR PITTSBURGH STEELERS (-120)
Oddsmakers have Colorado QB Shedeur Sanders valued at -120 to be drafted by either the New York Giants or Pittsburgh Steelers. The Giants draft No. 3 and many scouts and draft analysts believe Penn State DE-OLB, Abdul Carter, gets taken at third overall.
We've already assessed the steam on Dart being drafted by the Giants via trade in the middle of the First Round tonight. The Steelers need a quarterback and occupy the No. 21 pick. Head coach Mike Tomlin and the rest of Pittsburgh's front office could wind up having Sanders fall into their lap at this spot in the draft.
Sanders' draft stock has gone down a bit during the last few days. With oddsmakers setting this NFL Draft Special on Sanders at -120 odds, they feel confident he'll wind up wearing either red and blue or black and yellow on Sundays in 2025.
CLEVELAND BROWNS TO SELECT BOTH TRAVIS HUNTER AND SHEDEUR SANDERS (+300)
We're landing 3-1 odds on the Cleveland Browns to draft Colorado's top offensive tandem in Travis Hunter and Shedeur Sanders. Hunter won the 2024 Heisman Trophy and is entering the NFL Draft with the expectation that he'll remain a two-way player in the pros at cornerback and wideout.
Sanders and Hunter obviously have a ton of chemistry and rapport during their time playing together at Colorado. Cleveland's current quarterback situation is Joe Flacco and Kenny Pickett, while Deshaun Watson recovers from injury. Watson's massive contract is also a blemish on the Browns' roster construction.
Why not take a flier and keep Hunter and Sanders together at the next level? Cleveland's first two draft picks are 2nd and 33rd, so it's definitely possible that we see this outcome if Pittsburgh decides to pass on Sanders at No. 21.
