Forecast Prices: Phantom Gold 7/2, Chartwell Jock 8/1, Katana 11/2, Makinbecon 9/2, Saucats 8/1, Warfleet 7/1, Privilege 12/1, Marhaba The Champ 10/1, Wise Counsellor 50/1, Bowling Shane 12/1, Man Oh Man 20/1, Crab Road 25/1

oddschecker Verdict

PHANTOM GOLD posted a respectable effort to finish second on his handicap debut at Southwell and looks capable of taking another step forward, with the additional two and a half furlongs likely to be a suitable test. A C&D winner last month, Makinbecon is a plausible danger, although Saucats was a close second in that race and he could have a bigger say being 3lb better off. The latter was stretched over 2m4f at Uttoxeter last time and reverting to this trip could be a good more.

Prediction: 1st Phantom Gold, 2nd Saucats, 3rd Makinbecon
