Surprise Killarney winner LUCK BETWEEN US can make it back-to-back victories. A lightly-raced six-year-old, the Donncha Duggan-trained gelding kept on strongly to record a first career win. Although taking a significant step up in trip for this contest, the son of Berkshire remains an unexposed, progressive sort and if his stamina holds out, he should take plenty of beating. Trained locally by Mark McNiff, Ilbdare has no such stamina concerns so has to be a strong contender. Successful over C&D last time, he will be staying on better than most. Wexford scorer Strong Contender is now 9lb higher, but the Norman Lee-trained mare was full value for that impressive success.
