STARLIGHT LASS defied a penalty when beating the odds-on favourite in novice company at Yarmouth. The progressive daughter of Dubawi should have plenty more to offer now handicapping and gets the tentative vote in an open affair. Oolong Poobong has a fighting chance off her current mark back as she reverts to 7f, but last year's winner Royal Velvet bids to repeat the dose off a 14lb higher mark and the less-exposed Tryst could prove a bigger danger bidding for a hat-trick.
