The 2025 Men's College World Series Final gets underway on Saturday night when the No. 13 Coastal Carolina Chanticleers take on the No. 6 LSU Tigers at Charles Schwab Field in Omaha, Nebraska. This is Game 1 in a best-of-three series.
Oddsmakers currently favor LSU to win outright on the moneyline at -160 odds. The Tigers rallied late in their Semifinal matchup against Arkansas, recording a walk-off RBI single in the bottom of the ninth-inning. Meanwhile, the Chanticleers are riding a heater, winning 26 consecutive games ahead of Game 1 on Saturday night. Despite the winning streak, Coastal Carolina is a moneyline underdog at +134 odds.

Coastal Carolina vs. LSU Prediction
Coastal Carolina will start Cameron Flukey on the mound tonight for Game 1 of the 2025 Men's College World Series Championship Final. The righty has a 3.29 ERA and a 7-1 record for the Chanticleers in 2025.
It's a difficult assignment for Flukey against LSU's lineup. After falling into a deficit three different times against Arkansas, the Tigers' bats rose to the occasion with timely hits, including a pivotal home run from 1B Jared Jones.
The Tigers were among the betting favorites to win the 2025 Men's College World Series Championship Final before the season began. LSU won the 2023 Men's College World Series Championship Final, thanks in large part to pitcher Paul Skenes, who won the tournament's Most Outstanding Player award.
LSU still has elite pitching in 2025. Kade Anderson and Anthony Eyanson went a combined 22-3 in 2025, helping the Tigers rank fourth nationally in strikeouts per nine innings, ninth in ERA and sixth for hits allowed per nine innings.
Anderson has been announced as the Game 1 starter for LSU. The left-handed pitcher has held three of his past five opponents to a 1.35 ERA or lower. He's 11-1 as a starter and averages 14.1 strikeouts per game entering Saturday's Championship Final matchup against Coastal Carolina.
The Chanticleers won't back down from Anderson in Game 1. Coastal Carolina ranks second in the nation for team ERA. They just hung 11 runs on Louisville during a lopsided win in their Bracket 1 Semifinal matchup to punch their ticket to this Championship Final.
We're going to ride the hot hand and grab the value on Coastal Carolina. The Chanticleers are capable of scoring enough runs to contend against LSU.
Anderson gave up seven earned runs in 7.0 innings pitched against West Virginia on June 7th. Then, he bounced back a week later and posted a 1.29 ERA against Arkansas in a 4-1 win during the Double Elimination Round in Bracket 2.
For now, I'll play the Chanticleers a bit conservatively. Bet one unit on Coastal Carolina to cover their +1.5 run line at -135 odds.
LSU is more than capable of a late comeback. Taking Coastal Carolina +1.5 ensures another walk-off win favoring the Tigers will allow us to cash a ticket on a team with the most momentum in college baseball.
