Forecast Prices: Moving Light 4/9, Fiesta De Vega 2/1, Byron Hill 25/1, Feldspar 25/1, Blue Eagle 66/1, Clarion Lady 100/1

Sporting Life Preview

MOVING LIGHT looked a potentially-smart colt when making a winning debut over 1m2f at Leicester. He easily beat the odds-on favourite and subsequent winner Thibaan, rated 85, on that occasion and this extra distance should suit. Fiesta De Vega also made a winning debut over 1m2f when scoring at Haydock and looks the main danger to the selection, despite also carrying a penalty. The remainder will do well to trouble the principals with Byron Hill perhaps best of them on an earlier fourth at Wolverhampton.

oddschecker Verdict

This effectively looks a match race between the two first-time-out winners. Fiesta De Vega showed a likeable attitude when successful at Haydock and there should be plenty more races to be won with him, but MOVING LIGHT was hugely impressive at Leicester in July and is potentially a notch above. Byron Hill might reverse Newbury form with Feldspar and win the battle for third.

Prediction: 1st Moving Light, 2nd Fiesta De Vega, 3rd Byron Hill
