If he can get to the lead early once more, a mark of 74 looks acceptable for his handicap debut and he should have improvement to follow. Berry Clever had a bit in hand when winning at Kempton and an added 2lb won't stop him challenging. Guilty Verdict is a potentially bigger-priced alternative.
