CATHRYNS RUBY won here at a similar time last year and may be able to strike again on her seasonal debut. The Mahler mare was consistent last term and, having ran well to finish placed in a couple of competitive events at Fairyhouse in the winter, she looks capable of scoring again off this mark. River Vale was a winner over fences when last seen at Cork in April and his hurdles mark is now 7lb lower, so he commands respect. Jumbos Jet also visited the winners' enclosure on her last outing at Clonmel in May and is another to consider on her handicap debut.
