Euro 2020 is not far away, so Gareth Southgate and his Three Lions players must be thinking about the home advantage on a potential route to the final.
Euro 2021: England route to the final
With Dublin losing their last-16 knockout game and UEFA awarding the match to Wembley instead—which is already hosting several matches during the tournament—England have yet another potential home game en-route to the final.
It means England could play their first four matches of the finals at Wembley if they win Group D, before potentially moving to Rome for the quarter-finals.
The semi-finals and final are also due to be played at the London venue, meaning England could play all but one of their games at their national stadium should they reach the final on July 11.
