Who are the favourites to win the Golden Boot?

Having bagged six goals at the World Cup, Harry Kane is the current bookies’ favourite to win the Golden Boot this summer.

He’s the consensus market leader at a range of prices, available at 36/5 with SBK but as short as 5/1 with multiple other firms.

Hot on the heels of the Spurs striker is Belgium’s Romelu Lukaku, just a shade longer in the betting at 7/1 best price.

France’s Kylian Mbappe is next up at 11/1, with fears that in-form Karim Benzema (16/1) could eat into his share of goals.

Cristiano Ronaldo (14/1) and Memphis Depay (16/1) make up the rest of the top five favourites, before a ball is kicked at the Euros.

The outsiders

Player of the Tournament last time out, Antoine Griezmann is 25/1 in the betting, the same price as prolific Pole Robert Lewandowski (25/1).

Germany’s Timo Werner is 35/1 best price, followed by Serge Gnabry (45/1) and Ferran Torres (45/1) are next in the betting.

Per WeLoveBetting.com’s Mark O’Haire, a 100/1 shot has won or placed in 12 of the 13 World Cups or European Championships dating back 1992 when it comes to the Golden Boot.

In that range, Lorenzo Insigne (100/1), Bruno Fernandes (100/1), Gareth Bale (109/1) and Georginio Wijnaldum (125/1) all look appealing in the market.

Player Odds
Harry Kane 13/2
Romelu Lukaku 7/1
Kylian Mbappe 11/1
Cristiano Ronaldo 14/1
Karim Benzema 16/1
Memphis Depay 18/1
Ciro Immobile 22/1
Antoine Griezmann 25/1
Robert Lewandowski 25/1
