Here's our spread picks for Friday's CFB games
ANALYSIS

College Football fans should be excited for this Friday night in college football.

Louisiana Tech will take on Marshall in a Conference USA matchup and Fresno State will travel to San Diego State to take on the Aztecs in a Mountain West Conference battle.

Check out my predictions for each game below:

Louisiana Tech @ Marshall (-4.5), CBSSN, 7:00 PM ET:

Since losing the first game of the season to Texas, Louisiana Tech has rolled to eight straight wins.

Quarterback J’Mar Smith completed 21 of 38 passes for 263 yards and one touchdown and running back Justin Henderson had 58 yards rushing with two touchdowns in a 52-17 win over North Texas.

As a team, Louisiana Tech had 264 yards on the ground with five touchdown runs.

Marshall is also on a winning streak. Running back Brenden Knox had 130 rushing yards with one score on 30 carries, and quarterback Isaiah Green passed for 269 yards and one touchdown in a 20-7 victory over Rice.

I find it quite interesting that Marshall is giving this many points to a one-loss team in Louisiana Tech.

Nearly 70 percent of the general public is currently on the Bulldogs, which means Marshall minus the points is easily the pick in this matchup. When you’re unsure about the two teams, it’s always safe to go in the direction opposite of the public.

In their only meeting since 2010 back on Dec. 6, 2014, Marshall came away with a 26-23 win.

I like the Thundering Herd at home in this one.

Pick: Marshall (-4.5) @ -110

Fresno State @ San Diego State (-1), ESPN2, 9:30 PM ET:

The Bulldogs will look to rebound after a loss in their last matchup. Running back Ronnie Rivers had 102 rushing yards with three touchdowns on 17 carries, and wide receiver Jalen Cropper had three receptions for 87 yards in a 37-35 loss to Utah State.

San Diego State will also look to bounce back after a tough loss, which ended its four-game winning streak. Halfback Chance Bell had 40 yards on 11 carries with one score, but Nevada came away with a 17-13 win over the Aztecs.

Since 2010, Fresno State holds a 5-3 lead in head-to-head matchups. Since 2017, the Bulldogs have an 8-2 record in games played during November.

Another key fact: San Diego State has failed to cover the spread in nine of its last 10 games against non-AP ranked teams at its home field.

Fresno State is the pick in this football game. Take the Bulldogs plus the 2 points here.

Pick: Fresno State (+1) @ -114
