Testing ground conditions might hold the key to RHODES RUNNER as evidenced in a Chester novice recently. Ralph Beckett's filly has yet to make much of an impact in nurseries but it could be different this time and she's fancied to repel the challenge of Blondie Larry, for whom an opening mark of 73 looks fair. Stable companion Knock Three Times (fourth) was less than a length in arrears of Perigord Noir (third) at Bath, and the former could find some improvement for the addition of first-time cheekpieces.
