A smart horse on the Flat, the Willie Mullins-trained gelding faces a much stiffer test in this company, but is taken to rise to the challenge. With an official rating of 141, Bartholomew sets a decent standard. The runner-up in a Grade 1 at the Punchestown Festival, the four-year-old has had a recent spin on the level and will certainly put it up to the selection here. Dual scorer Golden Handshake also commands respect in a competitive race despite the small field.
