The low-mileage ALTAREQ found things tough in a warm handicap at York on his penultimate start but looked more comfortable when third back in this grade at Carlisle last time. The Jim Goldie-trained gelding looks worth another chance. Kokanee won at Lingfield last month and can have a big say if coping with a 4lb rise, while Mao Shang Wong and Qitaal are other options to consider.
